Capture ONE 9.0 Pro error after Windows 10 upgrade
Hi,
I have recently upgraded my main Windows 10 computer to Anniversary update. I am running Capture ONE 9.3 Pro on it. After the upgrade Capture ONE is running perfectly.
Based on good experience I also upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Anniversary update. Unfortunately Capture ONE 9.0 Pro does not start on this laptop anymore. It displays A "Fatal Error" window with long "explanation" about the crash:
An unknown error has occurred.
The application was unable to gather information about the error.
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at P1.C1.Program.Main()
System.ArgumentNullException: Value can not be null.
Parameter name: path1
at System.IO.Path.Combine(String path1, String path2)
at
P1.C1.Framework.CrashHandling.CrashDetectionAndAnylysis.GetFileToDeleteToIndicateTheCrashReporterHasRun()
at P1.C1.Utilities.ExceptionHandler.HandleExceptionThreadFunc()
I have to mention that the C1 was installed on my main computer after a fresh install of Windows 10 and on my laptop on Windows 7 that has been upgraded to Windows 10 and later to Windows 10 Anniversary update.
Anybody has similar experience? I know that C1 8 is not compatible with Windows 10, but C1 9 is. Obviously something has happened to the C1 during upgrading to Windows 10 or Windows 10 Anniversary update.
Is there any difference between C1 9.3 Pro and C1 9.0 Pro that has caused such an error or is that simply the consequence of the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Nikolaj

I got the same error just today bit I didn;t associate it with windows 10's upgrade I thought I had run this software since then. 0 -
I'd re-install the software and try again.. 0 -
MS said I would not get best support in future if I did not upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10, which I did over the weekend. Today, I tried to start Capture One (8 for Sony) and got the same error message. Is there a solution to this? 0 -
You probably need to update to a newer version of Capture One. 0
