CaptureOne 5.2 not working at all!
Hello everybody.
After using Canon's DPP and ACR, I wanted to try Capture One Software.
My main camera is Canon 1Ds MkII and I just bought an EOS 550D as a light travel camera.
I downloaded a latest 5.2 trial from phaseone.com
I installed it...
When I click on the Capture One shortcut, I only get the welcome screen.
After couple of seconds it disappears and nothing else happens.
I opened the task manager: when I click on the shortcut and welcome screen appears, captureone3.exe*32 also appears in processes tab, but after couple of seconds it just disappears (together with the welcome screen).
I get no message about something crashing, or some problem.
I only get 5.2 welcome screen for couple of seconds, followed by nothing.
Before this, I had an older trial version (5.0.2) from a friend of mine (who recommended it to me) and it worked OK!
I get the welcome screen, then a dialog where I choose a 30 days trial period, and after that everything is fine.
The problem is that 5.0.2 does not support my new 550D, so I wanted to try the latest version.
And yes - before installing 5.2, I uninstalled the 5.0.2 version!
I use Total Uninstall software, so all traces of previous installation were completely wiped.
Finally, I uninstalled 5.2 and installed 5.0.2 again, and the older version worked again without any problems.
I have Windows XP Professional x64 edition, service pack 2.
I have Net framework 3.5, etc.
The CPU is Intel Core2 duo E8400 @ 3 GHz, I have 4GB of RAM and the graphic card is Matrox Parhelia.APVe.
Why Capture One 5.0.2 works on my computer and 5.2 does not?!
Thanks in advance!

You may want to do one of two things, Wait for a reply here, or create a support case from the main site, which may get you an answer quicker. I can think of a couple reasons, but you said you are presently running 5.02? If you are then that may be a conflict with trying to run two programs. If not, are you running at least 2GB of RAM? 0 -

I already wrote this in my post above:

What are they?
Thanks in advance! 😊
PS
I'll create the support case too, but it seems that they do not over the weekend, so I'll have to wait until Monday.0 -
I would suggest following:
1. Uninstall CO 5.0.2 with its own uninstaller; do not use your Total Uninstall software; see http://www.phaseone.com/en/search/artic ... nguageid=1 for additional instructions
2. Reinstall the .NET Framework from 2.0 up to 3.5 SP1 from Control Panel (uninstall first), and install again through Windows Update
3. Install CO 5.2 and try again0
