Copying adjustments from one image to another
I realise this is probably plainly obvious but I am difficulty copying certain adjustments from one image to another. If for example I only want to copy the color settings from one image to another how do I do this without copying all the other adjustments aslong with it? I have tried unclicking all the other adjustments that I dont want to copy in the adjustments clipboard but as soon as I press copy it reverts back to original settings.

As you described, in the Adjustments Clipboard, when you press Copy to copy adjustments from the primary selected variant to the clipboard, all adjustments you made are selected. This is the default behavior, which you can change.
Go to the Adjustments Clipboard tool. In the tool's header, at the right, click on the small triangle. Here you can change the tool's behavior. When Autoselect Adjusted is checked, select it again to switch it off.0 -
You can also use the local copy and apply setting button in each tool. This will only copy the adjustments made in that tool. 0 -
I know this is a little off the topic but I was used to being able to apply a change to all selected images. I've been away from C1 for a while, and now am checking it out again but can't do what I used to do. Has it gone or is there some pref that I haven't stumbled upon yet that will sort this out for me? 0 -

Taking a shortcut: Edit menu, Edit All Selected Variants (checked)

This isn't it. I'm not talking about variants but other selected exposures. Variants are alternative adjustment options on one exposure are they not?
For example I want to be able to select 2 or more exposures and then adjust any variable such as exposure and see them all change.0 -

Primary Variant
You can toggle between editing the Primary Variant (the thumbnail with the thick white border) and editing Selected Variants (all selected images in viewer).
It's not bloody working then! It won't edit all selected images. I slide the exposure compensation slider up and only the one with the big white border is adjusted even when set to edit all variants.0 -

That is correct. It does not work that way.
A step-by-step description of one of the many ways to copy adjustments is:
1) Confirm that "Edit All Selected Variants" is ON (Edit menu, shortcut, toolbar)
2) Select the image you want to copy from and to; select the image you like to copy from as the Primary Variant
3) Make your adjustments
4) Copy the adjustments to the adjustments clipboard (Adjustments menu, shortcut, toolbar)
5) Optional: look at the adjustments clipboard and deselect adjustment you do NOT want to apply (default is: Autoselect Adjusted, which means all adjustments in the Primary Variant are automatically selected)
6) Apply the adjustments to the other selected images (Adjustments menu, shortcut, toolbar)
This is the basic workflow of what is called 'global copy and apply' in the online help.0 -
It used to. I think as recently as c1 5. What happened? This was the quickest and simplest way to batch adjust. Why on earth would the devs change that when its been around for so long? 0 -

Can't argue with what others have decided to change. I have a different recollection though.0
