rotate/crop issue - will there ever be a fix ?
I visited this forum in order to find help concerning the faulty output when applying arbitary rotation and cropping on my 1DsMark2 files. The crop is a lot different from the preview and the black mask is still there when the tiff file is opened in PSCS2. The file size is almost doubled in the C1 process tab, by the way and I don't see how to go back to the original size even if the rotation is removed-
I 'm pretty surprised and worried to learn that this wrong processing has been a known bug for almost 2 years now and is still not fixed in the latest release 3.7.6 though it was obviously reported to the Developpers more than a year ago, see
http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php ... light=crop
So, how long will we still have to wait for a fix of this major and known bug in a 500 Euro costly software ? I've been using C1pro since ver 1.1 was released and would regret beeing forced to drop C1 and switch to the competition. Or, am I missing anything concerning a fix of the bug ?

I am with you on this one...this bug has been around from the beginning and it seems there is no urgency on their part to fix it...however, there is a workaround but it adds to your workflow time...
you can make all your cropping and rotating adjustments and then save your adjustments...then remove that folder from C1 and then reload it..when you reload the file size is normal and the black mask no longer appears...too bad we have to jump thru hoops to get this done!

I posted about this again recently....

There's a link to some sample images that show the problem I have.
It would be comforting to think a fix is definately on its way.
I miss this most because I photograph art work for archiving and publication. Despite using a tripod etc, it isn't unusual to just need a tiny rotate and crop to smarten thing up a bit. It would save so much time.
