C1 v5 Creates ".CR2.JPG" files?
Apparently, C1v5 is creating these .CR2.JPG files in the directory which contains my CR2 files. If C1v5 REQUIRES the availability of these files, is there any way to direct C1 to create these JPG files in a folder (perhaps one off the CaptureOne folder that's created in the directory)?? If it doesn't need the files, why is it creating them and can I turn this "feature" off??

Hmm, new 'feature' to me (what basically means CO5 is not creating them IMHO). Are you sure CO5 creates them on its own or did you perhaps use another program to view your raw files? 0 -
Thanks for the response. I moved the CR2 files out of my Capture one default directory into my working area and deleted the *.CR2.JPG files. They have not reappeared.
As I was typing the beginning of this post, it was still a mystery -- however, I figured it out....
YES I was using another program to see the CR2s.... Since I'm unable to install C1 on my travel laptop (out of licenses), I had been using this program called "Free CR2 Viewer." I am out of space on my laptop at the moment, so I viewed the files directly off the card (something I almost never do). When I did this, it created all these CR2.JPG files ... and Capture One just imported them (thinking the JPGs were somehow important to me).
Whew. Thanks for the hint.
