Canon Mark III 1Ds profile
I just got the new Canon 1Ds Mark III camera. When would I be able to expect a C4 profile por favor?

Dana,
December 19th 😉 Capture One 4.0 supports the 1Ds Mk III
Cheers,

Yes, my new Canon 1Ds Mark III files work in C4.
However, I can not shoot tethered in C4, and the files and tethering in C3.7 give me connection error messages.
Thus, I have no choice but to shoot tethered using other software. If that is the case, I may as well edit in other software as well. One thing my workflow does not need is to bounce back and forth between several kinds of software.0 -

Dana,
CO4 is the upgrade to CO3.x LE, so no tethered support yet. Will have to wait for CO4 Pro, due in 2008. CO3.7.7 Pro does not support your 1Ds mkIII, period.
I would suggest to use other software for tethered operation. Canon EOS Utility is a good option IMHO. Setup and forget. Let the files be dropped in a folder that you open in CO4 and continue working CO4 only. An initial test showed that a folder opened in CO4 is a hot folder. It will show up newly added files at once. I will have some 1Ds mkIII files later today to test myself.0 -

Yes, that's the good way to do it, it works like a charm!
Happy New Year with the 1DS3!0 -
To add to the possible solutions (1Ds3 tethered with CO), expect release of CO3.7.8 Pro shortly. 0
