7.1.2 Local Adjustment problems

I upgraded a couple of days ago to 7.1.2
While revisiting a picture on which I had a few adjustment layers, I noticed they do not exist anymore. The picture itself has all the corrections that were done.
In the browser, I can see the little icon on the picture thumbnail that says there are adjustments.

any thoughts?

  Did you happen to rename or move the files later? The adjustment layers are stored in a separate file (.comask) other than the typical .cos files. If the .comask isn't renamed properly or moved with the .cos, then you will lose the adjustment info. (Speaking from the Windows side.)

  this was issue that existed on 7.1.1, but fixed for 7.1.2.
  So the layers were probably gone before the install of 7.1.2.
