Select Next and Select Previous being grayed out
Hello everyone,
I hope I explain this well. A photographer I work for likes to edit by selecting a variant (return key) and then scrolling through the other images. Sometimes he likes to look at the faces of his subjects in the focus tool. If I select the image on the right (the non-variant) he can continue to scroll. BUT if I select the image on the left (the variant) he can no longer scroll. Even if I reselect the right image (thumbnail or preview) he can no longer scroll. I have to select another image entirely.
This happened all of a sudden. It was working fine and then it stopped. The one thing I noticed is that when I have the two images up, both the "select next" and the "select previous" tools are highlighted. BUT as soon as I select the left image (variant) one of them grays out.

When You press Enter the selected image becomes the Compare Variant. Until you release this (cmd+enter) this image is fixed for comarison. So what You describe is by design. 0
