Batch relocate files

I moved back my files to the old location, and I think the main issue here is after an aperture catalog import, when the library has referenced files, they not shows up in the folders section. Does anyone have the same issue ?

My solution was to put all my images inside the catalogue and to move back them to the new location after. Not the fastest way to relocate 😄

The same happens for me with import of a catalogue from Lightroom. Nothing shows up in the folders section. I tried adding the folders manually but that doesn't bring in any links to the existing images.

Update: I have changed to v8.1, now some of the referenced files are showing up in the folders section after I add the folders manually. Seems to depend on file type.

Previously in Aperture and also now in CO8 I've been using referenced files only. One of the few features I am missing is the 'Relocate Originals' feature and I also prefer the sub-folder structure Aperture created for me during import and relocation.
It looks like in CO8 I have to manage the files manually and if I do it outside of CO8 I have to repair the broken links afterwards. Are there any 3rd party apps to batch relocate image files, based on EXIF data like capture date?

By mistake I imported some images into the catalog in CO8. As far as I understand I have to create a new folder manually first and then I can move them from the collection to that folder.

In my old workflow, I used to work on the local disk with the current shoot(s) and had my complete library on an external disk with backups (like to have them all in once place so I can easily search for images and manage them). When new shoots were no longer needed, I exported those in Aperture as library and imported them into the complete library. After the import I had to relocate the original again.

So in CO8 I want to figure out a similar workflow now:
Move images from a current shoots collection on local disk to an archive collection on external disk.

Am going to try out now how export and import of CO8 catalogs works and how it handles referenced files.
Since CO8 allows you to have multiple CO8 windows with different collections open, I was hoping one could just drag and drop between collections, but that doesn't seem to work.
