How to create a special Smart Album?

Dear Forum members,

I organise my photos in a nested folder structure by year, month, and event. I have used this structure successfully in Aperture for many years with additional smart albums and would now like to replicate this within the User Collections in Capture One Pro but fail.

Let me give you an example:

[2015] smart album for all photos taken in 2015
[color=#FFFFFF:2puesis2]---[/color:2puesis2] [color=#FF0000:2puesis2][2015 Others][/color:2puesis2] smart album for all photos taken in 2015 on not referenced in "event" albums
[color=#FFFFFF:2puesis2]---[/color:2puesis2] [January 2015] smart album for all photos taken in January 2015
[color=#FFFFFF:2puesis2]---[/color:2puesis2] [September 2015] smart album for all photos taken in September 2015
[color=#FFFFFF:2puesis2]------[/color:2puesis2] [color=#FF0000:2puesis2][September 2015 Others][/color:2puesis2] smart album for all photos taken in September 2015 and not referenced in the following or any other September 2015 "event" album
[color=#FFFFFF:2puesis2]------[/color:2puesis2] [September 2015 - Vacation] album for all photos taken during vacation in September 2015 ("event" album)

In Capture One Pro I just cannot get this working. I am unable to create the smart albums within this structure that contain only those photos not referenced in other albums (those titled with 'Others' and marked in red in my above example). In Aperture this was easy as I could select photos not contained in albums (Album > Not In > Any).

Is there anyone who can help me with this seemingly easy task in and point me into the right direction?

There is no way to accomplish this in C1, currently as suggested you may use keywords for that thing. But of course it is not a 100% replacement
