Issue importing catalogs to master catalog
Hi,
I create separate catalogs for each month of the year on a laptop with a 256 gb SSD>. I backup daily using Chronosync. and clear the SSD every week or so to leave room for new images.
I wanted to create a master catalog of 2016 images and attempted to import monthly catalogs using Capture 10. However, because the images referenced in the monthly catalogs were not on the drive, C10 displays a "File Not Found" popup and the catalog is not imported.
I want to created a master catalog file for the year. If I need to process certain images I can copy the file from external drive to laptop SSD. I have the laptop connected to NEC PA271 for critical editing.
How do you handle workflow with laptop SSD's that can only hold a fraction of your processed images?
Do you manually move the folders from SSD > Backup external drive using C10 move feature?
I prefer to use Chronosync to backup the images and not use C10 to manually move the images.
This is the biggest issue I have with C10: locating images from laptop that have been moved to external drive. I have to manually locate each folder if I want to transfer location from SSD to external drive. It would be great if C10 would map all subfolders from SSD to external drive if they are located in the same folder name.
Eg. I store all photos for 2016 on folder "2016" (on SSD) and "2016" (on backup drive).
I cannot use LOCATE function to apply all subfolders on "2016" (SSD) to remap them to 2016 (backup drive)
