I am curious. Did it only damage your CR2 Raw files? (not any of the NON Canon files?). How does this happen? Just a regular tethered shoot? Did the app or the system crash? When did you notice that they were damaged?
Personally, I have not seen my CR2s damaged yet.

    I HAVE. MULTIPLE TIMES.

Damaging of Canon CR2 files when shooting tethered supposed to have been fixed in 4.5.2. Does it still persist?

Yes. We lost one session after updating.

We had shot to multiple sessions and were trying to process all the sessions during a break. When my producer tried switching from one session to another while processing, the software crashed and destroyed the CR2 files.

Put a bit more diplomatically (but I understand and feel the frustration), I would have to agree with the OP. Please look to v 3.7.9 Pro for a functional feature set and viable workflow in a rock-stable program environment. There are conversion quality and speed enhancements in 4.5.2, IMO, but the program's functioning, tool set, and partial design misconceptions (such as font sizes in dialogue boxes), etc (I've summarized my thoughts in another thread), detract from these achievements.

I just give a big me too.

My main problems are similar, especially that I cannot import 3.7.x session files, that I can't simply have a thumbnail viewer in a separate window (why on earth is it not possible to enable thumbnails on the second window, really why?), etc etc

I personally still love the quality of the rendering and the correct colors. C1 is still miles ahead in this one to any other product.

But so many other changes were done where I ask myself, why not continue with the 3.7 features and just add the new ones too them? Why drop so many viable things (focus window, water marks, thumbnail viewer, etc). I can't imagine, they really thought nobody ever used them.

And why there is no import of old sessions is beyond my understand, this is really something a professional company for pro photographs cannot do. Just image Aperture or Lightroom would say, sorry, your old 1.x libraries don't work, just start from scratch ...

i'm an italian digital operator and i bought c1pro last january. i worked with italian and stranger photographers all year long using your software, with big success for you and me. i discovered that you decided to deliver a new version (4) : i'm so sorry but i have to change software, for my opinion you lost your superiority in professional photography. last but not least: now nikon comes back as top producer and is not possible that i can't shoot thetered with c1pro. with sadness paolo de giuli

p.s. : i really hope that you'll come back to version 3 with some improvement, is so easy and perfect for pro photographers, we don't need that fancy black screen!

To me the whole new C1pro4 thing is not for professional Photographers anymore who are in need of a fast and accurate Workspace.

There are so many issues regarding to the way all digital techs worked.

    - Sharpness checking - HELP
-Missing Shortcuts to adjustments like exposure/saturation/contrast - why??
-Applying settings - was so easy before.. now i have to switch several windows
-Creating new folders within Sessions - why did you make it complicated??
-Stability - not to talk about

Please consider to change that software or you will soon have to worry not beeing the number 1 raw file handling software on every shooting.
I know almost no professional that works with digital backs on the new plattform.

it is completly unusable - really is.
Before everything was easy and logic - every idiot could use it - and everybody loved it becouse of the fast way you could work.

Sorry to be that harsh - but that is the way i and many of my colleagues think.
