Nothing but noise.. 4.7
After upgrading to 4.7, all of my previews get regenerated as a bunch of monochromatic noise. Both thumbs and large view. H20 tif and cr2 files both gone. I went back to 4.63 as I need to have these images delivered in a few hours and it is business as usual. Was there a check-box to opt out of being a beta tester I missed??
Thanks

You should know that you are not beta testing anything, IMHO it's never a great idea to upgrade any software, PhaseOne, Adobe, whatever on a production computer on a short deadline.
I just downloaded and installed 4.7 on an XP Pro SP3 CPU, works just fine here...however I did not test against files adjusted with 4.6.3, just versions prior to that. And only with CR2 files.
So, if another attempt at an upgrade doesn't produce good resuts for you...likely it will, perhaps the method you are using...ie, fresh install, installing over prior, installing in a parallel folder keeping the prior version intact....has an impact. I'd be happy to try to reproduce your error using your method.....
....just keep away from short deadlines...<g>.....0 -
I have exactly the same problem with my Nikon D2xs-files. I went back to 4.63 and everything is ok. I will wait for 4.71.. 0 -
Might be a good idea to open a support case and attach a RAW file that doesn't work, I can't think of a good reason why a supported file wouldn't work well....it would take just a couple of minutes and might help solve the problem. 0 -
Mr. Obvious,
Have you ever tried to deal w/ Phase One support? Perhaps it was my specific issue at the time, but a headache was all I received. I was merely hoping for a quick and painless solution here.
Thanks for your time and input.
I loaded 4.7 on another machine (same OS) and seems to be working fine with both H20 raw tifs and cr2 files. I will try a clean install on the problem machine and see if that remedies the problem.0 -
Well, your unneeded sarcasm aside...
yes, as I have used Cone since V1.0..I have dealt with support on a number of occasions, absolutely no problems. It's obvious to me that the time difference makes e-mail support the best method, perhaps being polite has its points also.....from the tone of your response to me, I understand your result.0 -
I get noise when my ICC profile in the process recipe is not correct. Changing it to embedded camera or anything reasonable fixes the issue for me. 0
