capture one pro 8 crashing

having installed capture one pro 8 it has stopped corel painter 15 working

    On removing capture one pro 8 and the version of Microsoft net that it had installed everything works fine again.
    EG corel painter 15 is reliant on Microsoft net.
    It appears that capture pro 8 is installing wrong version of net?

    We don't have any reports of this.
    What .Net version does Corel require? I don't think that Capture One 8 is installing the wrong version but perhaps one that is not compatible with Corel.

    Corel painter 15 worked well with previous version of capture one pro 7 but not capture one pro 8. As soon as the version of Microsoft net that capture pro 8 installed was removed corel painter 15 worked ok but then capture one pro8 didn't.
    Any suggestions?

    I recall that I once had a similar problem with other software. The order of install fixed the problem.

    In your case, I'd recommend installing CO8 first. It will install the MS Net it has.
    Then, reinstall Corel. It will probably install the later version of Net. CO8 will probably work with it.
    Both programs should then be happy.

    Well that is curious as we ship with .Net 4.5.2.

    I would suggest that you uninstall Capture One, then install just the .Net.
    With the .Net installed, the new installation of Capture One 8 will skip over any mention of .Net and run the 4.5.2 that is already installed.

    nope tried that already.
    uninstalled capture one installed net 4,52 and capture one still wants to install previuos version of net. as listed on the screen on attempting to load.? That is where is says it wants to install previous version 4,51?

    Like your thinking and I had already tried that. When reinstalling capture one it still wants to install 4.51 despite the fact that net 4.52 has already been loaded.??

    Strange.

    I installed V8 as a trial 2 days ago and .NET shows as a 4.5.2 installed as part of the C1 V8 installation.

    Win 7 Pro.

    Perhaps I wasn't clear.
    Uninstall both programs and the net.

    Then, reinstall Capture One, and let it install the net it has. Restart and try CO8.
    Then install Corel, and it should install the net it needs and wants.
    CO should work with this last version.
