Carlo, check the release notes (in the Help menu) of your version to see whether your camera is supported. If possible update to the latest release (v 5.2.1 is you are on CO5) to see whether that might help.

Thank you Paul, my release is 5.2.1 Pro, and is supposed to support the Panasonic GF1.

My doubt is that also canon Raws are CR2 files and I'm wondering if there's any flag or command I'm not aware of that I need to switch in someway.

I don't know the extension of the Panasonic raw files, but I would be surprised if it is CR2 as well (I am always in for a surprise). How do you import your image files? What is your workflow? Any chance another program is tampering with it? Just a guess.

Hi Paul, you're right: the file extension is RW2 not CR2. I was working on other files from Canon today and gave this wrong info. ☹️

Anyway I don't usually work tethered unless in studio, so I copy files straight from memory cards to a directory that i call RAW under the main work directory, that I usually name depending on the work.

So these files are copies of the ones created by the camera: I don't change names, numbers or extensions, nor compress or do any kind of altherations to them.

Once in P1 I state this Raw directory as the source and issue another directory that I name Developed under the same main work directory on which I usually record P1 developed files.

From P1 I usually get Jpegs and Tiffs in different resolution depending on the final use of pictures.

Any other work has until now been done in PS.

Anyway I use this tiny Panny only for my private takes, but also if it's not work I'd like to have the same control as for my canons.

I was able to process GF-1 RAW files in 5.2.1. Certainly no issue in 6.0

Hi Baxter, Thank you for entering.

I downloaded P1 6 today and still cannot process these files: is there something you did or you simply didn't find any problem?

My GF-1 is setted to supply both a Raw and a small Jpeg file, are you doing the same?

Are you using small or full Raw?

I'm quite sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't understand what...

I haven't consciously changed any setting Carlo. I'm using the RAW setting, but don't make any jpegs.

In preferences I have enabled both jpeg and tiff editing. But that is it.Sounds like a preference issue, but my experience level is low trying to troubleshoot in C1. You might do well to make support case or use the knowledge base.

The colours I get from C1 from the GF-1 are so superior to the standard profile supplied with LR3. So definitely want to be able to process them in C1

why don't you just upload (for example @ rapidshare.com) one raw file (.RW2) as an example and post a link here - then somebody can download the file and see if it can be processed...

    Carlo,
Create a support case and give us a file, we can explain what is going on here.
