VIEWER SHORTCUT
I'm surprised that they still haven't addressed this at C1 but right now there is no shortcut for the VIEWER in C1.... will there ever be a COMMAND -V shortcut for the viewer or is there a way of creating customized shortcuts? i think it would speed up workflow tremendously when selecting images if we could navigate quickly between the TOOLS, BROWSER, and VIEWER...

Daniel,
Can you clarify what you mean to address with this shortcut?0 -
Hi Drew,
a keyboard shortcut to navigate to and from the viewer. ⌘ V doesn't seem to be taken.... is there a way to create this keyboard shortcut?

Daniel,
Navigate to the Viewer if it is a separate window?
I guess I am confused as to why would need to Navigate to this window as it would presumably be front and center at all times to view your images. If you simply have it as a separate window and need to move to it quickly you can always use the Mac default keyboard shortcut to switch between windows of a single application (CMND + ~).0 -
I often work on location and use a laptop using only the laptop screen to view the shoot.
So after a particular shot is completed I go through the images with my client using the BROWSER only (no viewer since I find it a little slow having to wait for the image to load and sharpen images in the viewer one at a time) with a large size thumbnail for easier viewing/selection. Occasionally the client asks to see a certain photo larger, so I go up to VIEW and then select SHOW VIEWER then ⌘B to get rid of the BROWSER so my image is large on the screen for a less distracted viewing.
after we've viewed the image I have to go back up to VIEW and then click HIDE VIEWER to bring back my BROWSER.... what I'd love is a ⌘V to speed up the selection workflow.... using the trackpad on a laptop isn't very efficient and having to work only with keyboard shortcuts would be so much faster.....

forgot to clarify.... all work done using a single window.... 0 -
Daniel,
So, if you open a separate Viewer window and hide the viewer on the main window, could you not just use the Apple Shortcut to bring up the image when a client requests it?
-View>Hide Viewer
-Window>Viewer
-CMND+~ to switch between Main Screen (Thumbnails) and Viewer Screen (Preview)0 -
hmmm that seems like a good fix.... I'll try it.
thanks Drew!
