Trial v's Upgrade

If I download a trial version of CO1-12, I assume it will install in a different folder from my version 11.
If I then upgrade to version 12, will the new version update my version 11, so I must unistall the trial version 12 or will it legitimize my trial version 12 so I must unistall my old version 11?

  It is entirely up to you.
  
  There is no difference between the trial and the "real" software. All you need to do is obtain the appropriate activation key for the version you wish to use.
  
  I always install new versions in their own folder as suggested by the installation routine.
  
  You can retain V11 (and several earlier versions if you still have them) and run those using the V12 activation key when you get it.
