Media Pro and Capture One
Hi all,
I am a beginner with MP and currently running some tests with a trial version just to understand if MP could do image admin more effectively than Capture One alone. I wonder how MP and C1 communicates with metadata (e. g. keywords). I have not succeded in getting keywords visible in C1 if I set them in MP (and vice versa).
I have made trials to first import images into MP, set keywords and then open image in C1 for more detailed editing.(I also tried to do it in oppesite way, but with no more success).
Is there some way to make these two s/w´s communicate or am I expecting too much?

I use both programs on a Windows system, and have no problem with communication between the two.
I use the "sync annotations" command under the Actions tab very effectively.
Take a look at their tutorials http://www.phaseone.com/en/Software/Med ... rials.aspx0 -
Hi Jim,
Thanks, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Hi again,
In spite of first success in synchronizing annotations between MP and C1 I hit problems:
-C1 will not display any annotation made in MP if there were any annotations (=keywords) set by C1 at the import of images into C1. If I copy these images (and their XMP-files) into another folder and then add that folder into MP as a new folder, I can see annotations as same in MP and C1.
-When I open C1 and there is any folder which has been earlier added to MP also, C1 makes automatic update of annotations and this will continue forever. I am not sure if there is any real process running, but from Task Manager I can see that ImgcoreProcess.exe is something which is active every now and then. I use Win 7 with 6 cores system and 8GB RAM.
-C1 displays all annotations double or triple made in MP.
This does not look too good for continuing trial period, if these are real problems in s/w and not only my own faults.0
