I noticed under LLC "Technical Wideangle" was also added as an option, I'm curious what the difference is 0 -
I'm curious about what "Make new files writable by everyone" is for. Is it an apple file permissions option? 0 -

Saw it listed but have not yet looked into it but I'll suspect: yes.0 -
When I go to Preferences check for updates, nothing comes up, even though v6.2 has been released. I seem to recall this happening in the past, but I cannot remember how to correct it. I realize that I can go directly to the Phase One website for the download, but I would like to set up my program to detect updates.

It has to do with a trigger that must be set on the Phase One server which the program checks on startup. It may be delayed a (few) day(s) for reasons of bandwidth, I guess.0 -

Per default in Mac OS when you (and Capture One) create new files, the file permissions are set as read/write for the user and read only for every one else. In some setups it is required to let other users modify your files. That is what this option is for.0 -
..just to add, specifically "EIP" files need to be read/write able by everyone since this file format will contain Capture One's settings files in a package with the RAW file. 0 -

This is specifically to deal and solve issues described in this article which will shortly be re-written
