Variants not processing with batch
Hi everyone,
I've tried finding an answer to this but no joy so maybe someone here knows.
This is my workflow which has always worked in the past:
Go through images in a folder and rate them.
Sort images by rating
Go through rated images and make adjustments and create variants as required.
Select all rated images (click first and shift click last)
Click batch process icon and leave it to finish.
That worked until after an update around 6 months ago when I started getting BSOD (blue screen of death) during processing. I have a quad core pc with 4gig RAM and having read the forums I upgraded to 64bit pro 6.3 but it hasn't fixed it.
Last week I had 5 bsod's in one day. Decided to close and reload C1 before processing and also close all other programs so only C1 running and that seems to work ok.
However when I restart C1 all the variants which were shown as separate thumbnails during above workflow are now stacked together as one thumbnail under the original photo and if I select all (ctrl-A) and click batch process none of the variants are processed. I have to expand each thumbnail one at a time and Ctrl-D to process them.
As a wedding photographer with 1000's of images this doesn't work so does anyone know how to select and process all images and variants in one go whether they are stacked or not, or a command to expand all variants and then process?
In the edit menu the option Edit All Selected Variants is ticked.
Hope you can help.
Thanks. Alan

Closing C1 will collapse all variants as you've noticed. When you restart, just go to the Image menu and choose Expand All. There may be another setting somewhere because I seemed once to have had all the variants processed anyway even when collapsed, not sure though. 0
