Media Pro for free?
Phase One, as a potential new customer who is mostly impressed with CO8 considering the current state of Media Pro would it not be a good idea to now include it FOC? I'm that guy who has left Aperture and used Lightroom but really wants what CO8 appears to offer. Of course I would prefer development of Media Pro but as it is do you really expect people to pay the asking price for broken software!!

Oh, I think that the OP wants it for free, because it doesn't meet some arbitrary, subjective expectation that he has of it.
A bit like me saying I should have had Capture One 8 Pro for nothing because previous releases (and - I've just discovered - the current release 🙄 ) were unusably unstable on my machine.
Yeah, that's how the world works...

i bayed MP to Capture One 7 and 8 because i thought that i get the complete package Software from Phase one
but i was very disappointed as i saw that this software isn't compatible and works very disaster !
i contact the Phase one support to pay me my Money back, they ask me i should contact the sales department
i did that but no answer came back ! now and after three months i still have this MP apps on my imac and trying to find a letter kind of benefited using it with my photo workflow on the mac , but ❓
well my bee phase one send us soon a solution for that or not !0 -

Expectations are quite different to advertised features, If you cant understand this then you need not reply.
I already have the trial which is how I came to my overall positive review. Heres an idea, DXO Labs now give away for free DXO pro 8! Its an older version that may not live up to advertised specification on current systems. IMHO this is genius because not everyone wants to update to the latest OS etc. If you are and want all the current advertised features then I can pay for that with the latest version. The logic I will use is this, if developers are actively developing then yes they should be payed.
So back to my point I'm watching the official Phase One Media Pro tutorials using CO8 and clearly things are not working as they should. Of course the videos would have featured versions prior to the latest but as a new user I only have access to purchase the current version as far as I know. So with that in mind the full advertised feature set is not available, its really that simple. If a compatible version was available I would be happy to pay over the asking price for it.
Of course if you simply begrudge me getting something for free well thats another story!
