LENS CORRECTION: Panasonic LX-5 Unsupported file
Hi all,
I am trying CaptureONE Pro 6 with my RAW Panasonic LX-5 files and everything seems to work fine except for the LENS CORRECTION menu. All the options are ghosted and cannot be used. I wanted to removed purple fringing but it seems is disabled for this camera. If I use my Olympus E-1 or E-P1 then the menu is enabled. What am I doing wrong?

Are the files DNG or PEF?
Does it say 'Unsupported File'?
The Pentax K-5 files are supported, however like all Pentax files only the PEF format is supported.0 -
RAW files from Panasonic LX-5 camera have the extension RW2. They aren't DNG. Under the LENS CORRECTION menu, Capture One 6 reports the following:
Lens: Unsupported file
I don´t understand it because Capture One hasn´t got any profile regarding my Olympus lenses but the menu is enabled and I can use the purple fringing feature.
I think it is a bug because the rest of the menus are working.

You're right, I had the Pentax K-5 on my mind 🤭
The Panosonic LX-5 files are currently Unsupported with regard to the Lens Correction Tool.0 -
Thank you very much for your info. Then I guess I´ll have to switch to Lightroom 3. ☹️

The LX5 isn't supported in my LR3.5 for lens profile. 0 -
I know but at least it supports "defringe all edges" in manual mode for removing the purple fringing but also you can minimize chromatic aberration using red/cyan and blue/yellow sliders. Capture One 6 simply disables all these functions.
I would prefer using C1 because it has a built-in ICC color profile but I can increase LX-5 color accuracy using DATACOLOR Spydercheckr chart.
Thank you,

C1 and LR/ACR are automatically supporting optics corrections based on parameters that are provided by Panasonic itself and stored in .RW2 raw files... end user can't control that - you can't switch it off or switch it on... it is always performed be default by those raw converters w/o any need to apply any lens profiles (Panasonic bodies and Panasonic lens /Panasonic or Leica marked, including P&S like LX3, LX5/, probably Olympus m43 lens on Panasonic bodies too, non m43 lens or pure manual lens like V 25/0.95 in m43 mount are not supported obviously... P&S that Leica rebrands from Panasonic are supported that way too - hence when C1 was not for marketing reason supporting LX3 you were able to use its raw files by changing camera make/model tags in raw files from Panasonic to Leica)
PS: where did you people spend several last years, that you are not aware about such basic things ?0
