Hierarchical Keywords Discrepancy

I've been reorganising my hierarchical keywords, sometimes moving sub-trees under one parent to another parent. The hierarchical keywords panel reflects the expected outcome, but the keywords displayed in list view does not. Which to believe? Does anyone have any experience with this?
