tethered captures Raws and Jpegs

I am running cap 8 on 10.9.2 ,quad-core 14 gig of ram. I have turned off the graphics accelerator. I have selected canon only for tethering, I am shooting raws and jpegs at the same time. When I set up the view to both before starting tethered capture everything works great!. When I then turn off view the jpegs the application crashes on the second shot. I have deleted the pref files with the software off. Built new sessions and I get the same result. I am shooting with a canon 5D mk 2 and 3.

I have a second issue with file naming on capture with tethering. I believe at a ProGear Demo of the new software I thought you could now capture with the canon and the software would use the filename generated by the camera as it does with you import from a card. Thus making it easier to find duplication on a imported card or keeping images in order with out going to sort by time and having to rename all the files once finished.

I like the new interface and the improved responsiveness in the new software with the addition of a better metadata interface.
