    Hi

As far as i remember Nikon is actually writing in the NEF files making them unreadable in Capture One - Reset all settings in the Nikon software and you should be able to read them in Capture One.

Flemming, I'll definitely try this with a few files, but it's not an option for my entire library. I can't just sit down and revert thousands of shots. So you guys are aware of the issue, how about fixing it? 😂 As I said, other converters work just fine with these NEFs.

It is not that simple to fix.

Nikon is ADDING info to the NEF file that is not according to the standard spec. of the NEF RAW file. Compared to what we do, we are never touching the RAW file, and then all changes in the file are beeing stored in a .work file. This way you can alway revert back to the RAW file. I NIKON's case - only the NIKON software can do that.

    Hi

Could you please either create a Support Case to us or make a link to a few of the Nikon RAW files, i have a few developers that very much will see if thay can do something about this problem.

    Thanks.

    Here they are:

    http://www.privet.info/nefs.zip

Two NEFs, that show up all purple in both C1/Win and C1/Mac, but work fine in ACR, Bibble and Nikon Capture.

That's not just good news, that's AWESOME news. You guys have removed my only remaining dependency on the PC - Nikon Capture. 😄

Hats off to Phase One. I'm impressed.
