Which Clarity method did you use? Have you tried a different method?

    Hi Paul,
I used 'classic" method. It has a very noticeable effect with, in this case, +50 clarity and -90 structure.

A quick check gives me the impression that the Structure slider in the Classic method does not have any effect. I get a noticeable effect with the Structure slider when using the Neutral and Punch method.

The Clarity slider is effective with all three methods.

    Hi Paul,
I am not sure I agree with your comment. Here is what I see:
My image is a landscape, Image size at either fit or 25%
Also, when switching between methods, need to be sure +,- settings remain constant..it seems classic and neutral remain same but punch will remain at a previous setting.
I floated a focus tool under clarity tool to help me see back and forth comparisons.

Clarity 0, Structure (-100): Classic most blurred and soft, Neutral and Punch less blurred and more contrast but very similar.
Clarity (-100), Structure(-100): Classic softest, Neutral and Punch less blurred and more defined contrast.
Clarity (+90), Structure (-100): Classic still most blurred but with increased contrast, Neutral and Punch, in order,
    more contrast,less apparent blur.

    Here are some color numbers:
    R G B BK
    Dark tree trunk- Classic 30 30 2 27
    Neutral 15 18 0 15
    Punch 13 16 0 13

    Reddish field C 210 181 121 183
    N 222 194 130 195
    P 228 198 136 200

    Green field C 199 201 117 191
    N 225 223 147 215
    P 228 228 155 220

    Grass in shadow C 97 95 70 93
    N 101 99 73 96
    P 98 96 91 96

    Thanks for your help,
    Tom

Make sure you compare both at 100% actual pixel size. I have found the screen display resampling to be different between C1 and Photoshop and viewing both at 100% brings them closer.
