    Sounds to me like a corrupt session file. Create a new one and/or delete the current.

    Will do. The only problem is that I don't use sessions, so I don't know how to find and remove the current one.

    The (default) session file is Capture One.col50 (or .col45 for older version). You find it in the Capture One Library folder. It can become corrupt over time, in particular after a program update.
