TIFF w/LZW
Any chance that the ability to create TIFF files with LZW compression will be added to the next 3.7.x update or v4?
Thanks
Thanks

Hello,
LZW is an option in 4.0, however I would say it is very unlikely that we will see it in 3.7.x.0 -
I cant remember where I got this but it works great. www.rapdigital.net/SaveAsTIFF_LZWoverwrite.zip 0 -

How are you running that javascript? Web Server, Desktop?

Loading through Photoshop scripts menu. If you find a way to create a droplet with it let me know. 0 -
I wrapped this in a little applescript that will allow it to launched from the desktop. I'm trying to make it drag and drop but no luck so far.

Drag and drop would be great but I really like your solution as an intermediate step. Keep us informed. 0 -

You can include scripts in an action and then make a droplet from that.0 -
Here is a more polished version of the script that uses Photoshop.

Here is another script that does not require Photoshop and can convert to several different formats. This script uses the shell to access sips (scriptable image processing system) and works in the background.

Please provide feedback.

I guess it worked OK. 😄
I have added support for Targa format and made a couple of small changes.

Also, If your interested in Applescript below is a link to a version that has commenting in the script to give insight as to what different parts of the code are doing.

To see the script just control + click on the application and select "Show Package Contents".
Then go to Contents/Resources/Scripts/main.scpt
In addition I updated the script that uses Photoshop to resave TIFF files with LZW compression.

Here is one more update. This version will work either with drag and drop or you can double click it.

I have updated Convert Images once more. I've added the ability to add a finder icon or not and enhanced the completed dialog.
Please note this requires 10.4.x or newer. Has not been tested with Leopard.
