Can't save in Photoshop

In Photoshop CS3 (Vista) I still can't save the file (16 bit tif) if C14 is still open (which it should be). Comes up with error 'Could not save as xxxx.tif because of a program error. This also happened with the betas.

    Seem to be a photoshop problem.
    No Problem with PS 10 but once you install the update 10.0.1 the problem occur.

    I have reported this to R&D and we will see if we can compensate for it or if Adobe will release a bug fix.

    Sorry. I've uninstalled CS3 10.1 and reinstalled 10.0 and get the same error message.

    Actually with CS3 10.0 the message is 'Could not save as xxxx.tif because the file is already in use or was left open'.
