How can I use my own file/catalogue system
I like what Capture 1 Express allows me to do with my RAW images. The thing stopping me from upgrading to Express 7 and using it, is being able to use my own filing / cataloguing system. I like my simple work flow – upload RAW, view, delete, catalogue, move to subject folders, process individual RAW files, finish with PS, and save back to a child folder off of the original. I do not do studio work. I am not a professional making a living from my photos. I do not have clients or jobs. I just want to post process my RAW images into the most personally rewarding images that I can manage. I have Express 6 and it can help me to do this – but I do not use it because it takes over and makes multiple file folders and “forces†me into the PhaseOne work flow mould.
So, how do I setup Express 6/7 to open a RAW file that is in a folder on a drive of my choice and save the result back to either the same folder or a different folder of my choice? And do this without adding a bunch of extraneous, to me, files and folders.
Thanks. Cal

When you import images in to the catalog use 'current location' in the import dialog.
You can export to any folder you like. The setting is persisting until you select a different folder in the export dialog. Exported images are not added to the catalog.0 -

That makes it work for me.
