Auto Rotation not always correct

Hi,

If I open my NEF files in this horrible Nikonsoftware CNX2 the direction of my photographs are always correct. Now I like to use CO to develop my RAW files and it works fine but if I open a folder some of the portrait-directed photographs were not turned in portrait but in landscape. My camera is the D300 and the autodirection option is enabled. But important: this happens only with vew Photographs not with all. But there are some photographs showing the same without changing anything during the shot and some of these fotos were well turned others not???

Is this a well known problem I have to accept?

  Were you pointing the camera downwards during the shoot? This may sometimes confuse the orientation. Besides that I do not recall I read similar issues here.

  Ohhh sorry,
  
  I checked it out one more time and more accurate. Now I saw that all portrait fotos weren´t turn in the right direction. Have I choose a wrong setting somewhere in the software?

  I am not aware of a software setting or preference that controls orientation (landscape or portrait). Bottom-line is whether CO6 opens the images in the right orientation or not and paramount here is how your camera was setup during the shoot (auto-orientation setting in-camera).
  
  To rule out any affect Nikon Capture NX2 has in the process, I suggest you focus on images that are not affected by NX2 like new images that come straight from the camera into CO6.

  In the older versions or are you thinking of the revised functionality in V22?
