Triangle with exclamation mark
How to do you recover a file that has a triangle with an exclamation mark in it for the preview?
We shoot tethered with all our pictures being packed as EIP files as we shoot. This is so they can easily sent over to our retoucher with all the settings etc.
Two of my files, seeming at random, from today's shoot are now showing as just grey previews with a triangle and exclamation mark. I've tried deleting the settings files for these but I'm worried that the problem buried in the EIP file?
Anyone help with this? I really need those images!
Thanks
Oliver

You can unpack the EIP file without Capture One with an Applescript.

Once you unpacked the files, copy the raw files without the settings files to another folder and open that folder in CO7.0 -
I thanks for your reply. I gave it a try unfortunately it says:
"Unable to extract the following images:
GBF39-025.EIP
-> bad CRC 068d97f3 (should be 03dc95d3)
Sounds like it's pretty corrupted? Anything else I can try?

Yes, another try, is to rename the EIP extension to ZIP and unzip it (OS X can unzip ZIP files from the Finder). Maybe it helps, though little chance. 0 -
Thanks Paul, sadly it didn't work. Think I'm going to have to let those pictures go. 0 -
Try this: Quit Capture One. Rename the folder the images reside in. Then relaunch Capture One.
This worked on a recent training course - If it works please let me know.0 -
Hi James, thanks but sadly that didn't work either. 0 -
If you make a support case and upload the files we can get an engineer to take a look. 0 -
Unfortunately the deadline for the magazine has passed. I managed to use another image in the end.
Thanks to everyone who replied.0
