Adding notes to images when tethering

Hi, is there a function available to attached notes to images when shooting tethered (or in general)? I'd like to be able to add simple notes to jog my memory for processing later such as '+8mm horizontal shift' or 'use the portion of this frame with the girl in the dress' when compositing.

  If you navigate to the metadata tool tab (circled letter i), you can add information to various metadata fields. There is an "instructions" field which sounds like it would be perfect for what you're trying to do. Simply enter your post-production notes there, and the metadata will be saved in capture one for future reference and written to the files you export as well.

  I'd like to make notes that cannot be exported. Just personal notes like "focus variant, slightly in front". Notes that would only be used by me inside CO. I've tried a notepad but it is too cumbersome to constantly switch between programs.
