    Karen,

Quite the contrary, Canon is rather cooperative in providing the necessary files and information to software developers.
Since the New 40D was announced 3 Weeks ago on August 20th, it will take Phase One some time to implement support.
It has typically required a few months for implementation of new DSLR models in the past, however, no timeline is available.
The next possible opportunity for support would be the UpDate of version 3.7.8.
If not implemented in this version, then it will likely be in the 4.0 UpGrade.

    Sincerely,
    K C

I'm concerned about the Mac version and 40D. But I saw that a thread was created under Windows already about the issue, so didn't want to start a new one.

That's really bad news that it's a few months away.

I've tried to use Canon's own raw software Digital Photo Professional, but the workflow is quite bad if you are shooting a lot. C1 is just so much easier to work with.

Anyone know which other raw workflow software that has support for 40D?

Yes - Adobe Camera Raw 4.2 was just released. It supports the 40D and the new PhaseOne Pxx+ backs.

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't tried Adobe Lightroom before. It looks actually pretty easy and useful.
