Workflow question
I have some questions on the best way to set up my workflow. I am going to be the main person adding images to the database and tagging them but others are going to be searching the images.
From what I've seen the Reader program is only used for browsing images. You can not open the images from the Reader program correct?
If I wanted people to be able to open images from the software would they need a copy of Media Pro as well? Would I just set it up so that everyone shared one catalog on a shared drive and then everyone would use that one catalog to search for the images?
Thank you for your help.

I tried using MediaPro and MediaProReader with my family. Family members can use the Reader to browse and search on my NAS (network attached storage) through image files in read-only mode.
The media files (images) cannot be opened with right mouse button like in MediaPro, but a drag&drop export to windows desktop or filemanager is possible. This Drag&Drop feature is a big benefit of good DAM software. This important feature is for example missing in Lightroom and was my key reason to leave LR for DAM.
The drag&drop is not ideal, but perhaps it can help you. Of course you have to ensure, that a copy or the original image files are available with same drive letter or with same subdirectory structure under the mediapro catalog file. You can place the catalog file either in the root of the image file directory or you can define the same drive letter for all other users (e.g. to a read-only network share or NAS).
