Canon 7D conversion to JPEG has a bad quality
Hello,
I have recently purchased a Canon 7D camera and I also have to update to C1 vers. 5.0 (paying for the update from vers.4) and the quality of the image converted to JPEG is not acceptable. Too much noise appears in images from ISO 400 onwards, specially in the nocturne images with high ISO or in the low light scenes. It´s specially disliking the "fine stellar field of white dots" that it´s visible .Also using the default parameters for noise reduction and sharpness (previous version 4 was oK) deliveries a more "plastic" appearience to the photo.
Other digital developers like DPP or ACR 5.6 Beta have not this effect actualy. So I am forced to use them in stead of C1 for the moment.
Any idea when this problems will be solved ???

Hello NN5072,
Try Capture One 5.0.1 (released Monday) as there were adjustments made to that specific Cameras RAW file performance. If the results are still not what you expect, create a support case and provide us some examples. From there we can verify/evaluate and lack in performance and send the results to our developers to correct in a future update. Or we may discover an incorrect setting that can be adjusted for. We won't know until we see specifics in a support case 😊0 -
Tested with 5.0.1 and still the same disapointed JPEG conversions.
I shall contact support to open a case ... I have files to enclose with the problem and the results from other converters too !
