What is ideal max catalogue size please?
What happens when larger? too large?
Is Media Pro happily compatible with Mac OSX.8 mountain Lion?

  The bigger the catalog the havier system you need but in general you want as less as catalogs as possible. One catalog is easier to handle than more.
  
  And catalog size limits apears to be fixed (see this post: ).
  
  I'm not a Mac user os i can not give you an answer on your mountain lion question.

  Works fine for me (10.8.2). Don't know of any limit to catalog size. I haven't run into any.
