start up disk full ????

i am building 1800 640px thumbnail size previews and after a while i get a message saying my start up disk is almost full. My catalogues are no where near the start up disk. What's going on and what can i erase??

I never get notifications of reply to these things

mac os 10.10.5

  I've had that happen to me. Quite probably the log file, hidden somewhere. Use "WhatSize" app or similar to find the culprit and delete it.

  ok thanks. How could a log file be that hefty?

  Good question. But, since the user doesn't have any influence on the logged items nor the destination of the file, i left Media Pro.
  
  I was running a 128Gb SSD OS drive at the time and Media Pro managed to create a 90Gb log file on it, system crash 😭
