Help with ICC profile dual monitor WinXP Pro system
I have a Radion X800 Graphics Card.
I have a Lacie Electon Blue and a ViewSonic Flat Panel Display plugged in.
When I use Capture One I drag it accross both screens. I keep the folders and thumbs on the FPD and view the image on the Lacie.
I want to understand how windows/COne and the Card work out the colour management together. The card seems to default to the FPD as the primary monitor but I change that to make the CRT the primary one. So I have my Windows Task Bar at the bottom of the CRT.
I make my own monitor profiles with Eye One device.
In the WinXP display properties utility I set the profiles for each monitor in the color management tab. I think that COne defaults to that.
I have assumed that using any windows application means that it will only use the default profile for the screen that is the primary monitor. In that sense, it doesn't really matter if the secondary display is colour managed or not.
My question: Have I worked that out OK?
Do I need to know or do anything else?
Many thanks for you help.
Regards
Martin
