I've also deleted the plist and reinstalled a fresh download of C1 7.1.6 and 7.1.5

what usb port on the mbp are you plugging into? The one on the right seems more solid on my mbp. how long is the cable? What brand cable are you using?

I'm mostly using the cable that came with the camera, but I have a plethora of other cables that I've been switching through .. They range from 3ft to 6ft to 15ft. And I'm trying both ports.

I think you'd better open a support case and handle over the logs or other information requested to get to the bottom of it.

As the OP has the same problem when tethering to Lightroom it seems rather unlikey that Capture One is at the root of the problem.

    Cheers,

Had a similar problem, I think it's another apple product power issue. The camera would not tether with my usual cables but WOULD with a tiny hard drive Usb 3 cable. eventually got it going with a repeater but this wouldn't work on cables over a certain length.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this problem? I'm having the same issue - it's all fine on my 2yr old macbook but not on this brand new one....weird!
