Inverse problems! Finding "singles" AND dupes ...
We have many thousands of images that are filed on several large drives, probably over a T-byte's worth. The employee that "filed" things for my wife for a couple years had a sort-of system of filing some types of sessions in a folder on one drive and backing part or all of them up to another folder on another drive. She used different drives and folder names on different drives ... and it seems (as she never wrote down what she was doing) other folks sort of reversed where things were put and or backed up at times.
Now ... it's impossible to tell which drive/folder is the "main" and which the "backup" for anything. In a casual glance through, some clients folders (and/or part of the derivative files also) exist in several places. Some exist in different stages of "completion" in different places, and some exist in only one place.
Of course I need to find those that exist only one place ... that's critical. But finding them through hundreds of gigs of images over several drives is gonna be a pain in the tukus.
There are also MANY gigabytes of duplicated files ... some client's folders more complete than others. I need to clean up much of THIS too.
Is there any place where actual instructions exist for most of the features of EM2? The help files are, shall we say ... of limited use. And as this isn't a hobby, I don't have three weeks to play with the program to figure it out. It's just work to be done. Help?
