Capture One (Trial Software)

Installed the software and was working great until a few moments ago. Importing from CF card (shooting with Canon EOSd1s), walked away and came back to message that program quit unexpectedly. Tried to open, see the files loading, then quits again. Desparately need to access my images. Please help.

  Hi Domenica,
  
  two things to try:
  1. Try to deaktivate the option \"Create preview files during import\" - does it import without problems and does the RAW-files show up correctly when browsing the folder?
  if not:
  2. Copy the files from the CF-Card to a folder outside of Capture One and check if the RAW-file are not damaged (right file size etc.). Then browse the folder in CO.

  Hi Renata,
  I deleted the corrupted files from the CF card and have had no further problems. How do files become corrupted? There were 5 images in the middle of a series of many taken at the same time.

  well, I do not know how your files got corrupted. Did you turn of the camera -take of the battery, while shooting?
  
  If this happens more often you should contact the camera support.

  Renata,
  Yes, I did. The camera was not responding, and when I had the same problem with the Nikon D1, taking out the battery worked. I learned - the hard way - each camera is different and realize with the canon its something one never does. thank you for your response.
