Can't import images - bug in import dialogue?

I just tried C1 12 for the first time, and wanted to import some images into a new test catalogue.

But I can't import any image to the catalogue, because I can't select a source in the import window.
The first 3 menu items on the left (import from/source, import to/save and backup) are missing, and I can't find a way to add them. The other options, that I also know from C1 10 are there, but the first 3 are missing.

Does anyone know what to do?

  I would suggest to reinstall Capture One 12. If it still doesn't work, the best way is to contact the support.
