The preview of my adjusted images upon opening the software sometimes shows incorrectly. For instance, I recently edited a very underexposed portrait and was pleased with the results. I closed C1 and when I opened it again the next day, the very dark areas of the image were horridly green blotchy messes. I knew it didn't look that way when I had finished editing, and sure enough, when zooming in to 25, 50, 100%, etc, the image preview updated and the green blobs went away. Great!

But . . . when zooming back out, instead of the greenies staying gone, no! They come right back, and no matter what I do, they persist.

Fast forward to today, and I opened C1 to find an image I edited last night only showing the adjustments on the left, oh, 1/5 of the image. The rest of the image shows no adjustments applied at all. There is just a straight line down the left where the image is drastically different. Again, zooming "fixes" the problem, i.e., the adjustments are being seen and read and applied like they should, but for some reason C1 has forgotten how they apply to the zoomed out image. I can't find any way to fix this, other than to make any very minor adjustment, in which case C1 re-updates its preview and everything looks great. Only problem is, I've already finished the image and don't need any more adjustments.

Is there any way to force C1 to refresh its previews? Already tried: Copy all adjustments and re-applying them. Didn't work. Regenerate Previews also didn't work.

By the way! I'm saying previews, but Do Not mean the preview thumbnail images! I mean the image that is opened up to work on.

You have not indicated whether you are using catalogs or sessions. Either way the description sounds like you may have some sort of problem because the issues you describe are certainly not typical of C1.

Rather than propose a series of things that you might try out I think the best options would be to raise a Support Request and go through the process with peopel who may have seen this sort of behaviour before. I have not - at least as described - although it is slightly reminiscent of how things appeared when I had a corrupt session file last year - reasons for the corruption unknown and a one-off event.

    Thanks, Grant.

It is indeed a session, not a catalog. I am running on Win 8.1.

A little further info.: I indicated "any minor adjustment" would fix the problem, but that was incorrect. Only certain adjustments "fix" the issues. Namely, a few points of plus or minus in the white balance tool, to include the tint slider. Or, I can "fix" it with the hue adjustment in the color balance tab.

But . . . Now the issue is fixed, fixed. Upon starting C1 the issue is gone. Well, it's gone on one image. The original portrait with the green blobs is still green and blobby.

In my case I found a single file to be the culprit although the problem appeared randomly for no obvious reason.

I suspected a bad internal link in the edit file that made it connect where it should not be connecting. Deleted the edit and the problem went away. Recreated the edit file and all was well.

It might be worth trying the same thing but also there have been various reports of specific issue with certain cameras or computer hardware configurations that sometime produce similar results. If it reappears I would suggest raising a Support Case with the C1 support team to discover what they can suggest.
