Exasper..._Calm_Cool_Collective
Well I want to open only the valid concerns on the past post of "Exasperation: Response from PO needed".
So please lets be productive.
For starters, I do believe that any company that wishes to resolve issues, even when you are simply buying time, that these forums SHOULD be looked at as "Trouble Tickets" entered. I have an extensive background in CS for technical resolutions. It is a fact that they should be the on going sift of info collected to resolve, simply because of its creation.
Not only do these forums take loads of pressure off Tech Support, it inadvertently creates a loop hole in getting problems solved...ONLY when you Pull the .."well did you contact support?".. That is the kicker. You spent your time to try and avoid slowing down tech support and invested time to see if others can resolve a simple user issue, OR a major glitch or bug in the software...YET, when there is no solution, or there is push/shove....after all the time in the forum with testing and debugging...."Did you contact support or submit a trouble ticket?". Just gravy...that is where the user will just kick and scream...As this considerate user who tried to solve on his or her own, doesn't see a resolution to the Forum post, and is throwing hands in the air....
This is where someone in XYZ company needs to step in and help those hands down...not pull the hands and eject the user from the seat to yet another interface of log and painful logging of a error generated for someone to finally reply back with rigid and text book process that may , or may not fix the problem.
That was my first issue. Secondly, this sw has been out, yes perhaps immaturely for some months, and I honestly think a update is really just around the corner...But I do hope it is a core functionality addressed update, as all the color and GPS, and face detection issues sound like added feature function issues...that surely need to be address when advertised it has....But...Lets get the thing to open correctly. close without a crash, show PSD files, and function in dual screen without lightbox showing on both screens, and Maybe add a video from Peter showing overall different areas of the software to setting up the way you may want to use it. I watched a few of the videos trying to see if I have all formats visible, and yet to come across it. And yes, these are just a few of the issues I listed above that I am having, and I do expect it to be resolved here, or maybe Ulf or Drew or someone can chime in and simple 2 seconds ...say, "read this post". ...Since I already tried the Knowledge base for the PSD not showing 😉
As I was about to post..Ulf chimes in with an update. SUPER..I hope XP also adapts to Win7 64bit 😄
I also have the PDF thumb not showing. perhaps it is due to me having Acrobat Pro8/9...not the reader 10? hope installing 10 doesn't tweak things wrong.
I don't use COv6 much anymore, it has just been too slow and it takes to long to focus and see focus between images (16gb ram on 64bit quad 3.6ghz machine!)...I do use 3.78. Woohoo, still love that for capture. I edit in ACRaw. So this to function with all other editors is key for many if not most, and integration with CapOne is really a non issue, but cool to see that as a future progression as COv6 evolves).
So please lets be productive.

PSD seem to be the main concern, problem is simply that Adobe doesn't make a WIC/Quicklook for this!
Try a google search, there is plenty of workarounds available http://www.google.com/search?client=saf ... 8&oe=UTF-8
PDF: Yes there is known issues there as well, Acrobat X (10) solve most of it.
However most of this is a troubleshooting process and the advantage with our support system is that we can escalate it to necessary instances.
A forum post will not be seen as a support ticket, it is a user to user forum and we see great threads in here where users are helping and exchanging ideas with each other, which is the whole idea with a forum like this. Strangely enough the push for dropping this concept is almost only seen in the EM2/MP1 thread and I for one would be sad to see an ultimate failure of the forum due to this.
Top most of the forum is the Guide lines and rules, they apply to anyone posting in this forum:

Thank you so much Ulf...
I never knew I needed a codec for PSD. that is great to get an answer! I didn't get the notion that I needed one when viewing the tutorial video of the "Compatibility files". I was searching and searching within, as the video suggests to virtually cover just about any image format...PSD would be in the top 5 of "any image format"(at least for shooters/editors), and to know this needs a codec, I know hurts, but really important. Thanks. (fyi:I also did a google search before posting here, only to get posts with ref to iView, which I didn't want to put in the same boat as MPro and came here.
I'll try the 10 reader for PDF, as the lightbox sees the PDF image, the thumbs don't.(oddly, if the lightbox works, a thumb can be internally generated? but that's just me looking from the outside:-)
I understand the support vs forum, but this right here you did, is super helpful, and I have seen it done plenty, Thumbs up to PO and continued efforts. Those with no solution are the ones that need some hand holding until a resolve is reached, or a simple; "we have no plans for that, and sorry it doesn't meet your particular need at this time. We invite you to signup with our newsletters for future releases that maybe of interest...etc. And that's it.
