Considering switch from Windows?
I am a Capture One Pro user considering the switch from Windows to the Mac. Am I likely to miss any important functions on the Mac version of Capture One or gain any new features that are important?
Also, I've seen several threads regarding crashing of the Mac version of Capture One. Are there reliability issues that I should consider?
Thanks,
dbk

Let me try to answer this.
1. Crashing can happen on any application on both Windows and Mac, nor more or less on one over the other.
2. Pro version on Mac does have some features you do not have on Windows, like: Styles, Overlay utility, Watermark, unlimited output destinations and sublevel folder etc etc..
As a Pro user you are licens wise allowed to have it installed on a Mac and a Windows computer.0 -
Ulf,
Thank you for your note! Two other questions:
1. Is there an additional cost for the second (mac) license?
2. I am using the third party profiles for the Canon 1DMKII and am quite pleased with the colors I am getting out of Capture One. I assume that these profiles will work on either platform and that I should get identical colors when on both platforms when using the same profiles. Correct?

Dave,
Our License Policy is: 1 License = 1 User = 2 computers activated
So with a PRO License, you can have a Mac and a Windows machine activated or 2 Macs, the choice is yours.
Correct, the .icm profiles function the same on both platforms.
Sincerely,
kdc0
