    Chris,

Be sure to shoot RAW only, download image files directly to Session without using any other software. The Thumbnails and Previews will then build.
    All should be tagged .NEF

Best to use Default location for images

User Account/Pictures/Capture One Default Session/ Your Session folders
    This folder has three subfolders

/Captures (Files you shoot or place into the session)
/Processed (Files you develop in the session)
    /Trash (Files you delete)

    Regards,

Thanks Keith. How do I get the images in the default location? I've been using iPhoto to import and then bringing them into Capture One from there. Thanks!

    Chris,

You should disable iPhoto for now to avoid this conflict.
    See Knowledge Base article:
    http://support.phaseone.com/KB/Home/Sea ... nguageID=1

Then, the Phase One Media Reader will offer to import images from CF card reader, or you can download direct to location the basic way of transferring files from CF card to hard disk location.

Thanks Keith. Are these problems specific to Nikon or all DSLRs (Canon) having the same problems? Seems like Nikon is a headache. Chris

    Chris,

Lets just say some software programs like to put a proprietary tag or bit of data onto files that makes them unreadable by other programs. Taking images straight into Capture One eliminates this problem.

Thanks. But it's still opening in iPhoto after selecting \"Ignore\" in the CD/DVD option under System Preferences. I'm using a media card reader though. Not sure if that makes a difference. Chris
