System locks up using 6.4.3 on osx 10.6.8

Everytime I turn off my 5dmkII in C1 6.4.3 my machine completely locks up and needs to be restarted. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, is there a simple solution for a workaround?

  Yes, I'm getting screen freeze after looking at an image in full screen mode. Using 6.4.3 then upgraded to 6.4.4 on osx 10.11. I hit the escp key to return to one-shot mode after viewing full screen and the software freezes. Reboot is the only way out I can find.
