Portable platform for tethered capture review
What is the best we can expect in a portable platform for tethered dslr capture right now? If the priority is to simply upload and preview without any bottleneck (nevermind processing) what's recommended?
Presently I'm tethering to a mac powerbook but typically I have to stand guard a few long minutes after a shoot while files finish the march across. I fear one day someone's going to start unplugging things before it's done--not a pleasant thought!
Actually, it could be I'm just waiting for previews to render for alot of that time, I'm not really sure. But in any case I'd like things to be quicker.
I'm open to a windows/pc solution if that's what it takes.
Many thanks,
Dave Robertson

Funny the mac boards are full of people trying to get this stuff to happen better/faster. Are pc users all finding things to their satisfaction? Would someone please shed some light on the systems that are working so well?
Thanks alot,
