Crash repeatable NEF files engine faulty?
I'm sure trying hard to like CO, but alas again it thwarts my plans to spend $$ on it.
Using CO 10 I open a NEF picture and try to apply one of my predefined styles...whoops window gone. Instant full crash.
I tried a few things until CO would crash at launch, only creating a new catalog helped.
That's pretty bad you know? For the price I would really anticipate the Mercedes of photo tools...
Anyway...I'll keep trying out your stuff! Maybe C11! Good luck!

Can you obtain a raw file from a different make of camera from somewhere? We have lots of Nikon users here for whom Capture One seems to work well. You might be able to check whether you have the same problem. Is it a problem with NEF files, or with the predefined style, or something else? Which model of Nikon camera are your files from? Have you raised a support case? Phase One might be able to help you get to the bottom of the problem.

Interesting...it does crash other Raw files as well...like Canon, I hadn't tried that.
It does apply to Jpg files without issue, although I created it on CO 9 for a Raw workflow.
I haven't opened a ticket...just tried out if there were improvements made to CO and instantly crashed it 😊
Well, someone legit user will have to make the call...
Thanks for your help!0 -

If you are still interested in C1 you can make a Support Case even if you are not a current licencee.
I am sure the Support Team would be interested to hear from you and help to understand what it is that is causing your problem.0 -

Which Nikon camera model do you have?
Even though CO supports a lot of them there are a few Nikons they do not list as supported.0 -
! I figured it out !
And I have to clear CO of any wrong doing (probably).
I determined that the Nvidia Web driver was the culprit, switching to the OsX default graphics driver works.
Sorry PhaseOne! I shall give Co now a thorough look and hopefully join the community!0
